Why is IT equipment repurchase good for the environment?

The rapid development of technology means that every year we have more and more equipment to streamline our daily work. Thanks to them, we can perform tasks much faster, easier and automate processes. Both we and our co-workers become more efficient, and we can devote the time we save to more complex activities (or to rest!). Unfortunately, this also has its dark side, as at the same time the amount of electro-waste, which has a negative impact on the environment, increases dramatically.

Global production of electro-waste continues to grow and has already reached more than 50 million tons per year. That’s a weight equivalent to 4,500 Eiffel Towers, and it is estimated that by 2030 this figure will reach as much as 74 million tons! Unfortunately, only about 20% of it is properly recycled. The vast majority ends up in landfills, where it is often recycled in ways that are harmful to our health and the environment. What’s more, the production of a new computer, ignoring the production of individual components, requires as much as 1514 liters of water – the amount of water a person needs for consumption purposes for about 1.5 years.

Certified recycling

Equipment that is not reusable is sent to certified recycling partners. They take care of the eco-friendly disassembly into parts and recovery of valuable materials, minimizing the negative impact on the environment.

Warranty of destruction

When you donate prototype devices to us, you are assured that they will be destroyed and never reach the secondary market, remaining out of reach of competitors.

Reducing the carbon footprint

The process of creating new IT equipment is demanding on the planet. By repurchasing used ones and putting them back into circulation, we significantly reduce the need for production, which translates into less energy and natural resource consumption.

Fight against electro-waste

The IT equipment buyback service directly contributes to reducing the amount of discarded electronics by allowing components to be reused and recycled.

Support for sustainable development

We promote sustainability by encouraging environmentally responsible business practices. Through repurchase, equipment that is still in good working condition can continue to serve its new owners instead of ending up in a landfill.

The repurchase of IT equipment is part of a larger strategy to promote green business practices. Through such an action model, companies can demonstrate their commitment to the environment and contribute to building a positive brand image that values environmental responsibility.
